Chapter 1606: Selective Reserve Montgomery GI Bill® Instructions
To receive these benefits, you must submit the following:
#1: Your ±«ÓătvVA Verification of Enrollment form
#2: Your DD2384 - NOBE (Notice of Basic Eligibility). You may obtain this at your Guard or Reserve Unit post.
#3: Your VA Application. If you are a first-time user, you will need to fill out an Application for VA Education Benefits () and submit it through VA.gov. You must then provide a copy to CBU. If you have used your benefits at another school, you must complete a Request for Change of Program or Place of Training ().
#4. A dated within the last 30 days OR since the last date of separation from your previously-attended institution. This certificate will be mailed to you via USPS and a copy should be provided directly to MC's Registrar's Office.
Once you have obtained the appropriate forms and authorizations, you may email copies to military@mc.edu, fax copies to (601) 325-3481, or hand-deliver copies to the Registrar's Office in the back basement of Nelson Hall at the top of the Quad from 8 AM to 4:30 PM.

Our Chapter 1606 students may also be eligible to take part in the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) while enlisted in the Army National Guard or Army Reserves. Chapter 33: Post-9/11 GI Bill® Transfer of Entitlement to Dependents
Eligible Service Members may transfer all 36 months or the portion of unused Post-9/11 GI Bill® benefits (unless the Department of Defense or the Department of Homeland Security has limited the number of transferable months).
