If you’re an incoming freshman, the 3+3 Law major allows you to complete your undergraduate and law degrees in six years rather than seven. With this degree, you may earn an undergraduate degree in any of the following academic programs:
The 3+3 Law Program allows you to count your first year of law school coursework (30 hours) toward the 130 hour requirement for your undergraduate degree. In order to earn your B.S. Degree, you will have to complete both three years of relevant undergraduate coursework and your first year of law school coursework.
Transfer students are not eligible for the 3+3 Program. Only incoming freshmen with a 26 ACT score or 1180 SAT score will qualify for this program. Acceptance into the 3+3 Program, however, does not automatically guarantee admission to the Mississippi College Law School.
Once admitted, students are expected to maintain at least a 3.25 GPA in their undergraduate work to remain competitive for early admission to the Mississippi College School of Law. Students in this program should plan to take the LSAT as soon as possible after their sophomore year, but no later than the fall of their junior year, as an acceptable LSAT score is required for admission to the Mississippi College Law School.
