Jonathan F. Will
Professor of Law; Founding Director, Bioethics & Health Law Center - School of Law
Jonathan Will joined ±«ÓătvLaw’s Faculty in the Fall of 2009. Since 2011 he has also served on the Affiliate Faculty of the Center for Bioethics and Medical Humanities at The University of Mississippi Medical Center. Jonathan served as Associate Dean on the senior administrative team from 2015 to 2022, and continues to participate in the pursuit of overall institutional advancement by providing leadership in the academic, intellectual, and administrative life of the law school.
Jonathan teaches Civil Procedure and Contracts in the 1L year, and upper level courses in Health Law and Bioethics including in ±«ÓătvLaw’s study abroad programs. He has been voted 1L Professor of the Year multiple times. Jonathan writes extensively about the implications of the nationwide personhood movement, reproductive rights, patient autonomy, and medical decision-making. His cross-disciplinary work has appeared in both legal and medical journals, and he is a regular contributor with Harvard’s Bill of Health blog.
