Heather Hall
Associate Professor of Legal Analysis and Communication - School of Law
Heather Hall joined the ±«ÓătvLaw faculty in the fall of 2021 as an instructor in the Legal Analysis and Communication Department. Her responsibilities include teaching legal writing to 1L students. She is an ±«ÓătvLaw alum, graduating in 2019 after completing law school in two years via the school’s accelerated two-year J.D. program. She graduated magna cum laude and was a member of Law Review as well as being a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant for Property Law. While in law school, she also completed an externship with the Mississippi Workers Compensation Commission providing support for the Administrative Law Judges and a brief externship with Mississippi Supreme Court Justice David M. Ishee.
Heather has over fifteen years of experience in the legal field. Prior to graduating ±«ÓătvLaw she spent 12 years as a paralegal handling complex family law and bankruptcy cases. Immediately following graduation, she joined the Shannon Law Firm, PLLC, a small practice in Hazlehurst, Mississippi, where she was given the opportunity to gain a wealth of experience drafting complex legal documents and arguing various matters in state court and federal court on cases involving general plaintiff’s litigation, family law, criminal law, and probate matters.
Heather stays busy at home with her 7 children (his, mine, and ours) and is active at her church, St. Jude Catholic Church.
